Khamidbek Turdibekovich Shodiev is a kind and hardworking farmer from Sarichashma, located in the Jabbor Rasulov district. He is 57 years old, a father of four, a proud grandfather, and the dedicated owner of a large 6.20-hectare plot of land where work continues throughout the year.
With great care, he grows apples, cabbage, early cherries, pomegranates, corn, garlic, peppers, onions, and more. Eight people are employed on his farm, and his family actively helps out in the fields and a reliable well, which he installed recently, provides water to the entire plot.
Four years ago, he took out his first loan to develop his farm — since then, he has remained a regular client of the Fund. During this time, he has been able to purchase quality seeds, improve the irrigation system, and expand his cultivated land.
Despite his age and the challenges of rural life, Khamidbek keeps up with digital progress — easily repaying his loan online via his phone, saving time and effort.
“The harvest has improved, my family is provided for, and now I can repay my loan right from my phone — no need to leave the house,” Khamidbek shares gratefully.
In the future, he plans to expand his land, plant new varieties of fruits and vegetables, and purchase a large refrigerator unit to store early-season apples, allowing him to sell them at better prices and preserve their freshness longer. Khamidbek’s story is a great example of how hard work, wise decisions, and modern tools can help move forward.
