Pilates is a system of exercises designed to strengthen muscles, improve posture, enhance flexibility, and promote overall well-being. Around the world, this form of physical activity is becoming increasingly popular due to its effectiveness and accessibility for people of all ages and fitness levels.

Farizakhon Ahmedova, a young resident of Khujand, is a happy wife and mother of a six-year-old daughter. Her desire to take care of her health and maintain an active lifestyle inspired an idea that eventually grew into a successful business.

The idea was born from personal experience. When Farizakhon decided to focus more on her health and start exercising regularly, she encountered a challenge: there were virtually no specialized studios in Khujand where women could comfortably work out and dedicate time to themselves. This inspired her to create her own Pilates space.

Participating in the Foundation’s Accelerator Program became an important milestone in the development of her project. The program provides entrepreneurs with access to interest-free financing through Islamic finance instruments, including Qard Hasan (benevolent loans). The knowledge, mentorship, and support she received helped her move forward with greater confidence and build a clear vision for the future.

While researching the market and exploring opportunities to bring her idea to life, Farizakhon connected with a franchise representative specializing in Pilates reformer equipment. Following successful negotiations, the necessary equipment was imported from Türkiye. On a 150-square-meter site, she opened a modern Pilates studio, becoming one of the first businesses of its kind in the city.

Farizakhon places special emphasis on service quality. To ensure professional standards, an experienced trainer was invited to educate two specialists, who now work successfully at the studio and help clients achieve their health and fitness goals.

In a short period of time, the studio has gained popularity among Khujand residents. Today, it welcomes clients ranging in age from 10 to 65 years old. For many visitors, the studio has become more than just a place to exercise—it is a space to restore energy, improve health, and dedicate valuable time to themselves.

Looking ahead, Farizakhon has set an ambitious goal: to develop her brand and establish a network of Pilates studios across Tajikistan, making modern and high-quality health and fitness services accessible to even more people.

Addressing other participants of the Foundation’s Accelerator Program, Farizakhon shares the following message:

“Let this program be the beginning of something greater. Do not be afraid to dream big, set ambitious goals, and pursue them with confidence. Every opportunity can become the first step toward your success.”
